Break · 10:50 – 11:05am

The same workforce decisions drive cost and risk.

Fewer claims and less lost time
Psychosocial hazards identified and controlled before they become a workers compensation matter.
Backpay exposure found by you first
Payroll errors sized and fixed on your terms, not after a complaint or an audit.
Labour cost you can actually see
Roster-to-actual leakage, travel, broken shifts and minimum engagements measured, not guessed.
Workloads and roles designed on purpose
Change, systems and job design that do not create the next claim or the next underpayment.
Confidence at board and audit time
A clear answer when the board asks what your payroll and workforce exposure is and what you are doing about it.

Who should attend?

This briefing is for the people accountable for labour cost, payroll, rostering, WHS or compliance in a home care or CHSP organisation.

It will be particularly useful if
Nobody has checked payroll against the award changes of the last three years
You cannot say what a delivered hour costs in wages, travel and allowances
Workers compensation claims, absence or complaints about workload are rising
Staff are absorbing more administration and harder client interactions without a change to the role
You are planning a restructure, a new system or role changes
There is a payroll or workforce question you have been avoiding
Roles that get the most from it
Chief executives and business directors
Payroll, HR and workforce leaders
Finance leaders
Operations, rostering and service managers
WHS, quality and compliance leads
Board members and audit committees
Attend on your own, or bring up to 10 staff on a team pass. Your workforce people can join the workforce sessions and your payroll people the payroll sessions.

Bring the right people together

Payroll, rostering, WHS and finance rarely sit in one room. A team pass covers up to 10 staff from one organisation for the full three hours, $790. Add CHSP Financial Viability for $1,190. Each pass is separate, so you can send 10 different people to each event.

Frequently asked questions

Can I attend only the workforce sessions or only the payroll sessions?+

The briefing is sold as one three-hour event. You are welcome to join only the sessions you need, and the recording covers all six. On a team pass, different staff can attend different sessions.

Is there a break?+

Yes. There is a 15-minute break from 10:50 to 11:05am AEDT.

Can I attend CHSP Financial Viability as well?+

Yes. It runs 2 to 3:30pm the same day. Book this briefing for $395 or both for $595. Team passes are $790 and $1,190.

Can I submit a question in advance?+

Yes. Questions submitted at registration are put to the speakers during their sessions and to the panel in the final session.

Is this a legal briefing, or about a particular payroll system?+

Neither. It is a practical forum on labour cost, payroll exposure and workforce risk. Legal obligations are covered where they create liability and no software is assumed.

Is this about culture, engagement or wellbeing?+

No. It covers the operational and financial side of managing people: psychosocial hazards, claims exposure, workload, workforce design and payroll. Retention and engagement often improve when these are controlled, but they are not the subject of the briefing.

Is it relevant to CHSP and smaller providers?+

Yes. WHS responsibilities, award changes and underpayment law apply to every employer in the sector, and smaller providers have fewer people to absorb the pressure.

Can several people attend?+

Yes. A team pass covers up to 10 people from one organisation for this briefing. Buy a pass for both briefings and each one can go to a different group of 10.

Will it be recorded?+

Yes. All registered attendees receive the recording and slides for every session.
